After following the ACOM Needle Stick policy, follow the core site policy below:

• Student should notify the charge nurse or House Supervisor within 72 hours of the exposure.  The charge nurse should be able to help student page the House Supervisor.
• Source patient testing will be considered if the exposure is consistent with the definitions.  If source patient testing is required, the cost will fall to Marshall Medical Center.
• Student will be responsible for cost of their own testing and follow up.
