After following the ACOM Needle Stick policy, follow the core site policy below:
- Student should call the Patient Care Services Supervisor (PCSS) available 24 hours/day at (256) 494-4121. The PCSS will guide the student through the protocol process.
- During business hours, student will be sent to the Occupational Medical Clinic. After hours, an Occupational Medical Clinic employee will be called in to manage the incident.
- Student will be responsible for all charges incurred with the incident. Student will be given paperwork to file the claim with their insurance company.
