After following the ACOM Needle Stick policy, follow the core site policy below:
- During business hours, student should call the Employee Health nurse Kathy Page at extension 5925 and report to her office. If she is not in her office, call her cell phone at (256) 655-5546.
- After business hours, or if Kathy Page is not on duty, call the House Supervisor at extension 5702.
- Student will arrange follow up with Kathy Page.
- Student is not responsible for the cost of the blood draws for the student or source patient or the required follow up visits with the Employee Health nurse.
- Student is responsible for the cost of any medications needed related to the incident.
