CITI Training

All individuals conducting research are required to complete the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI).
This training must be completed by all members of the research team who are involved in the design, conduct, or reporting of the study.

Refer to these step-by-step instructions for creating an account and accessing the training modules.  

 

What CITI courses are required for me to take?

 

If you will be conducting Human Subjects Research and will be requesting IRB approval. You will need to register for Human Subjects Research.

"Conduct of research" includes any team member who will interact with research participants—such as recruiting, obtaining consent, or collecting data.

  • Faculty register for Faculty (Individuals who completed "HSR for Anatomy/MM/Research"  prior to 3/1/2025 are not required to take the alternative course.)
  • Students will register for Students

 

If you are involved in any type of research at ACOM, then you are required to take Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Training.

  • Faculty and Staff register for Faculty (RCR)
  • Students register for Student (RCR)

 

If you will be requesting to access patient data in the research, then you will need to register for Information Privacy Security (IPS).

  • Faculty register for Faculty/Researcher (IPS)
  • Students register for Students (IPS)
