The ASH HONORS Award contributes to the development of the next generation of hematologists by providing research funding for talented first-, second-, and third-year medical students as well as first- and second-year medical residents. Applicants may choose to conduct their research over a maximum of three months (during the summer) or over a span of three to 12 months. In addition to a $5,000 stipend to support work on a hematology-related research project, program participants receive a $1,000 travel allowance each year for two years to attend the ASH annual meeting.
