About Access Medicine

AccessMedicine from McGraw-Hill Medical is a comprehensive online medical resource that provides a complete spectrum of knowledge from the best minds in medicine, with essential information accessible anywhere.

Printing:

  • You should be able to print entire chapters from AccessMedicine. 

TIP: First print to PDF, save the document, and then send it to the printer. The formatting will be much better.

TIP: Printing to PDF is super easy in Chrome.

Personal Account Features:

  • Downloading images to PowerPoint
  • Creating citations
  • Saving content by “favoriting” a piece of content
  • Creating self-assessment quizzes
  • Working through Cases
  • Using the Flashcards
  • Playing Showdown
  • Customizing Patient Education handouts
  • Enabling the AccessMedicine app to be downloaded

MyAccess Dashboard:

  • View “favorited” or saved content, images, videos, lectures
  • Find recently viewed browsing history
  • Keep up with self-assessment assignments

Printing from AccessMedicine

Look for the printer icon to the right of each section heading. 

In Chrome the print window opens which allows you to easily see where to change the output to PDF and how many pages are in the document.

You can send document to PDF in all browsers. It just isn't as nice looking as Chrome. The example below is from Firefox. 

 

Creating a Personal Account

In the upper right hand corner select the Sign In button and then choose Sign In or Create a Free MyAccess Profile.

 

In the popup window select the Create a Free MyAccess Profile button.

 

Then fill out the form and you are done!
